What caused WW1?
name three of the reasons and a fact about the problem
Militarism: Countries were building up their armies, making everyone nervous.
Alliances: Countries formed alliances that meant if one went to war, others would join in.
Imperialism: Countries competed for colonies, creating tension.
Nationalism: People had strong pride in their countries, especially in the Balkans.
The Assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand: The immediate cause was the killing of Franz Ferdinand by a Serbian nationalist in June 1914.
The July Crisis: Austria-Hungary declared war on Serbia, and because of alliances, other countries quickly became involved, leading to the outbreak of war.

When did WW1 end
World War I ended on November 11, 1918, when an armistice was signed between the Allies and Germany. This day is now known as Armistice Day, and it marked the end of fighting. The official peace treaty, the Treaty of Versailles, was signed on June 28, 1919.
How many people died in total in WW1?
Approximately 16 million people died during World War I. This includes around 10 million military deaths and 6 million civilian deaths due to the war and its consequences, such as starvation, disease, and the collapse of economies.
