What were the strengths of the league of Nations?

What were the weaknesses of the league of nations?
aims were to ambitious
Germany, Russia and the USA were not members
it had no army
decisions had to be made unanimous
Briton and France wanted different things
What was the Manchurian crisis?
When Japan invaded an area in China called Manchurian.
Why did Japan invade Manchurian?
Japan had a rough time during the great depression and did not have raw materials and goods, they could not grow as much food as China to support there growing population. China was also ungovernable.
What was the Locarno treaty?
When Germany agreed boarders with France and agreed not to invade each other.
