On today’s date, you were in the Fenway neighborhood of the city, patrolling in the D103A. Earlier, at roll call, the duty supervisor informed the officers of the shift that there has been a lot of stolen bicycles between the area of 53 and 91 Kilmarnock Street in the last 3 weeks. At 1:50am, you observed a woman staring at a blue bicycle secured to a pole; the woman had the hood up on her down winter jacket even though it was mid-summer. You Observed that her hands had been in her pockets and she never even touched the bicycle or lock.
You approached the woman and asked for identification; she produced a Massachusetts ID that identified her as Anita Break (DOB 03/11/95) with an address of 123 Brookline Ave, Boston. You asked Break what she was doing looking at the bicycle and she said that she was just out for a walk. You asked Break if that was her bicycle to which she responded, “Ew no, blue is not my color.” Your partner looked at the bicycle, and found it to still be secured to the pole.
