descended from Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob
inheritors of the covenant
where are we (Judaism)
in exile, awaiting return to the Promised Land where we will once again be YHWH’s people in their land
what is wrong (Judaism)
Israel has offended against the covenant and is exiled from the land the temple where sacrifice and atonement might be achieved
what is the solution (Judaism)
Piety and attention to the Torah
offering pleasing sacrifices and awaiting the promised Messiah
what time is it (Judaism)
we are waiting for the Messiah who will lead Israel as the promised seed of David and usher in the Messianic age
why (Judaism)
God chose Israel to be the chosen people and to make a covenant with them that they might be a kingdom of priests to worship Him and display his power to the surrounding nations
