Searching techniques
Use capital and small letters
(Some websites may be case sensitive)
User wildcards (An * represents any character in a key word. If your were to type “colo*r” you would receive websites containing he word colour and color
Use quotation marks around exact phrases to relieve websites that hold the exact phrase

Put keywords in order of importance
Use + and - signs. The + sign infront of a keyword means that the websites must contain it. The minus sign in front of a keyword means that the websites must not contain it.
Use complex logic- using AND, OR, NOT
Set up a search
Make a plan
Build a simple initial search, usually 1 or 2 keywords
Test the initial search
Add one refinement at a time to the working search and perform it
What is a website address?
Every website has its own address. Also known as Uniform Resource Locator (URL). It is made up of a protocol, a domain name, a Tope level domain and a country code.
