What was the name of the battle fought outside Paris that began the trench warfare and took away Germany’s hope of a quick victory?
Miracle on the Marne.

Disputed ground between the trenches of two opposing armies.

What was the Zimmerman Telegram?
A telegram intercepted from Germany to Mexico that says if Mexico attacks the U.S., Mexico will gain back Texas, Arizona, and New Mexico. It announced Germany’s plans to resume U-boat attacks. The British intercepted it and gave it to the U.S.
Who was Tsar (Czar) Nicholas II?
The last Emperor of Russia before the White Revolution, which resulted in him abdicating the throne.

How does the use of propaganda influence Americans and help the government during World War I?
Influence- buy war/liberty bonds, conserve food, join the military, etc.
Government benefit- money/food supplies, strong military force, etc.
