describe the treaty of versailles
the treaty of versailles was a treaty that set terms on germany as punishment for losing world war 1. It was created by teh allied nations , woodrow wilson of USA, george clemenceau of France and David loyde george of Britain.

- germany had to accept blame for all damges of the war
- germany ahd to pay $32 billion USD in reparations
- they had to limit their military
- they lost their territory

describe the great depression
the great depression started when the wall street crash occured causing the world to plunge into its worse crisis since world war 1. this is when the US introduced a credit freeze which meant they stopped lending out money to foreign countries. This meant that germany could no longer pay back teh reparations because they were using lended moeny.

the treaty of versailles had a signiifcant impact on causing WW II because the economic damage and resnetment of the treaty led to the rise of the NSDAP.

these events ultimatly helped hitler and the NSDAP gain power and support, because the NSDAP promised to fix the depressionj in Germsny if he were elected.

Hitler became the leader of the NSDAP in 1921 and the party began to gain suport. this was because hitler was promising solutions to the great depression.
