Treaty of Versailles

A

Created by presidents from the US, UK, France, and Italy. The US wanted leniency, France wanted revenge, and the UK was in the middle. They created the War Guilt Clause where Germany was blamed for the war, and had to pay all the funds of the war.

A

Advanced weapons used in the war such as machine guns- fired 600 bullets a minute, tanks- made by the British to crush barbed wire and cross trenches, airplanes-supported trench warfare by dropping bombs, chemical weapons-mustard gas was the deadliest chemical weapon, and submarines-German u-boats that sunk US merchant ships delivering to Europe.
