parachute
a cloth canopy which fills with air and allows a person or heavy object attached to it to descend slowly when dropped from an aircraft, or which is released from the rear of an aircraft on landing to act as a brake.

military observation of a region to locate an enemy or ascertain strategic features.

someone who is really skilled at shooting

the belief or desire of a government or people that a country should maintain a strong military capability and be prepared to use it aggressively to defend or promote national interests.
eg. Germany was very militaristic leading up to, and during, WWI
naval
military operations done in water
allegience
loyalty or commitment of an individual to a group or cause.
freighters
a ship or aircraft designed to carry goods in bulk.
ferrying
convey in a ferry or other ship or boat, especially across a short stretch of water.
merchant marine
a country’s boats that are moving goods, as opposed to military activity.
convoy
a group of ships or vehicles traveling together, typically accompanied by armed troops, warships, or other vehicles for protection.
U-boats
a German submarine used in World War I or World War II.
liner
a large luxurious passenger ship
