a president for the united states that led US during the Great Depression and World War 2 making a program called the New Deal
what is the anti-comintern pact?
an agreement between germany and japan that said they would work together to oppose the spread of communism (italy later joined it)
what is communism?
government owns the means and production and controls economic planning (soviet union)

each factory and mine had production goals set by the state and the government made the decisions about the production of goods

to get rid of things considered indesirable bc he felt like ppl were plotting against him

what is the league of nations?
it was to encourage international cooperation and to keep peace between nations. germany excludes and US didnt want any part of it.
what is the new deal?
getting over the great depression. gave jobs to unemployed and provided govt. money for welfare and new systems to protect the stock market and the banking system.

political conflict within spanish. one side were the nationalists (facists group). italy and germany helped that side led by fransico franco. fighting against the republicans supported by the soviet union. franco’s side won.
what is the land of sudetenland?
the land in czecholovakia that was a german speaking population that hitler fought to rule over and soon got it and more.
what is the munich pact 1938?
meeting in munich with germany and neville chamberlain and french leader edouard daladier agreed not to block hitlers way. Czechoslovakia was to fight germany alone.
what is dunkirk?
the defence and evacuation of british and allied forces in europe
what is the battle of britain?
Germans trying to invade Britain by crossing the english channel and going to war with them.
what is Afrika Korps?
the german and italian force in africa led by german general Erwin Rommel. axis power was weakens at the famous battle of el alamein
what is the kamikazes?
Japanese pilots who loaded their planes with explosives and crashed into allied ships sacrificing their own lives.
