The conditions were terrible they were cold wet and dirty causing soldiers to get desisted from both the dirt the cold and rats trench foot was a very common one.

Yes apart from the terrifying battles that were going on the soldiers did not have much to do and spent a lot of time cleaning kit and doing drills

To avoid any information being released to the Germans and to make sure no bad news came home
How were battles fought
Typically, they were fought in the same way they were starting with massive amounts of artillery, and then they would flow men over the top and try and make them run through machine guns and Barbed wire. Discos thousand to be killed by being shot or being caught in barbed wire

This included mustard gas, chlorine gas, phosgene gas, they suffocated the enmity and then mustard gas was then in 1925 seen as a war crime
What were Tanks and how were they used?
Tanks were massive heavy but slow they were used to drive across no man’s land the tanks broke down so the army stopped using them as much.
What were U-boats/submarines and how did the British avoid them
They were used to sink British food supply ships to America and to avoid them the creating a new shipping route
The use of airoplanes
They were mainly used for reconnaissance but ended up up being dogfights and small bombs being dropped
