What were the main aims at the Paris Peace Conference of the British and French leaders?
British Prime Minister David Lloyd George: wanted to protect and expand empire
French Prime Minister Georges Clemenceau: wanted to protect against german invasion
What was the significance of, and what happened to, Wilson’s ideal of self-determination of peoples?
Small countries wanted to be self determined and wanted freedom
It happens in Central Europe but nowhere else
How did the allies treat Germany?
Maintain blockade in Germany

What happened in the U.S. to the Treaty of Paris?
US never ratified treaty and doesn’t join the League of Nation because Wilson has
stroke after traveling to try to get senators to vote to ratify the treaty
