Army and military forces are given a high profile by the government. Rising tensions between leaders led to competition of their countries. Boosts confidence, easier to overthrow other countries
Alliance System:
When countries make agreements with each other and become allies(on the same side), countries do this to gain power, friendship, control and safety. If 2 countries got into conflict or war it would involve more than the 2 primary countries.
Imperialism:
A country takes new lands or countries and makes them subject to their rule. Every country wanted more land, which led to competition and ambition for power and war. Countries want to take land and countries will defend land which causes war.
Nationalism:
People who have excessive pride in their country. How it lead to war: People thought their country was amazing and couldn’t give up land or loose war. Ex: Hitler tried to take over the world because he wanted Germany to be powerful.
