MAIN Acronym (Militarism, Alliances, Imperialism, Nationalism). The assassination was just the push that causes all of this tension to cause war. Pride, faith in military and allies, and protection over their colonies all caused this . Franz Ferdinand was the heir to the throne. Visiting Bosnia.
