Discuss the evolution of Feudalism and how the system worked during the Middle Ages.
Gave thee poor protection from the bandits in return for tending to the lords land. At the top was The Lord, the lesser would give him food and taxes for him to give them protection. Even if you didn’t like this system, you would stay because you didn’t want the bandits to kill you.

one tenth of annual produce or earnings to support the church or clergy
What was the 3 field system?
1st field is covered with wheat or rye
2nd field is covered with beans or peas
3rd field has nothing on it
this is so each fields soil stays equal because the bum each field up one so it does a cirlce.
What effects did the bubonic plague have on Europe?
1/3 of Europe died leaving towns and villages deserted. When plague went away, there was a higher demand for labor then supply. Wages grew more and more.
Describe the code of chivrraly during Middle Ages.
The code of chivrraly came with the church. The church wanted fighting to stop with the christians. The knight held the 3’l’s (heavenly lord, feudal lord, and chosen lady) Knights and military fought hard for these.

what problems were facing the Church on the eve of the revolution?
- Corruption (selling possessions + appointing bishops)
- secular movement = people rejecting the church

What did Martin do that the church was critical of? What happened to him?
He told people that the teaching of the bible was wrong. He made a church / group of people that listened to him and followed his beliefs. He got kicked out of the Church.

Education, art and poetry
