What is the League of Nations?
A
- A group of countries where they could talk about their problems and prevent a future war.
- Proposed by President Woodrow Wilson.

A
- The United States did not join the League of Nations.
- Germany doesn’t have the money to pay the Allies
- No one talked about what would happen IF a country declared war again.
- Stock Markets crashed in the United States
- Citizens in various European countries turned to extremist political ideas

- The US stock market crashed.
- Investors sold their stocks and banks ran out of money.
- It effected Europe because europe had been borrowing money from the U.S!

- Period of where the economy is poor & unemployment rates are high (people don’t have jobs)

- Came up with a plan that created jobs for many Americans!
