List 5 rules for working safely in a laboratory.
A
- Do not enter without permission.
- Put bags and stools under the desk.
- Do not eat, drink or taste anything in the lab.
- Tie up long hair.
- Wear eye protection, e.g. safety glasses, when you are told to do so.
- Do not use equipment unless you are told to do so.
- Check the label on the container is the one you need.
- Report breakages or spillages to your teacher immmediately.
- Report any cut, burn or accident to your teacher immediately.
- Do not leave equipment close to the edge of your bench.
- If you are unsure what to do, always check with your teacher.
