Q

What is the benefit of creating ‘virtual copies’?

A

RE: Virtual copies are great for experimenting with and evolving different versions of a photo.

You could crop in different ways, evolve and compare. (EEC: experiment, evolve, compare)

All of these being done doesn’t increase the hard disc space used or change the master photo – remember these are all non-destructive adjustments.

Cropping a photo lots of different ways gets us thinking about composition, which will feed into our creative process when we are actually taking those pictures in the first place.

Write and develop a list of creative compositional/ framing ideas for taking the photos in the first place.
