There are several different types of energy, can you state and describe 6 types?
Potential energy - energy due to position.
Kinetic energy -Energy due to motion.
Thermal Energy - energy due to the temperature of an object.
Chemical or Nuclear Energy - Energy associated with chemical or nuclear reactions.
**Electrical Energy **- Energy of electrically charged objects.
Elastic Energy - Energy stored in an object when it is stretched or compressed.
What is the principle of conservation of energy?
Energy cannot be created or destroyed.
When an object is moved it gains Energy, what is the equation the governs this?
If a 5 N weight is raised 0.5m what was the work done to raise said object?
Work Done = Force x distance moveed in the direction of the force.
5N x 0.5m = 2.5J
When an object is acted upon by a force in a given direction we can use an equation to calculate it. What is this equation?

Work done = Force x Distance X Angle of direction of motion (Cos Theta)
Calculate the energy transferred by a force of 12 N when it moves an object by a distance of 4.0m? Then calculate the work done when the energy was in a direction at 60 degrees to the direction of the force.
Work = Force x Distance
12 x 4 = 48J
48J x Cos(60) = 24J
