Why is it AV “Service” and not just AV?

Because it includes monitoring and Windows Patch Management. If you just buy an antivirus s/w package, it won’t include patch management. Anti-virus s/w catches viruses, but it doesn’t update security holes … Patch Management does that. And anti-virus can’t fully protect you from viruses unless you do that. We also install an agent on your machines that gives us access to remote in, to provide quicker response.
