Word of God Flashcards
What are the three I’s
Inspiration, Inerrancy, Illumination
What is Inspiration?
The words of Scripture are God breathed and God’s Spirit carried along human authors to write down what God wanted
What is Inerrancy?
The words of Scripture are without error in the original manuscripts.
God’s word does not affirm anything contrary to fact.
Every word is perfect, trustworthy and true.
What is Illumination
Through the aid of the Holy Spirit, believers are able to understand Scripture and are reminded of that which Jesus uttered

He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. 14 He will glorify me because it is from me that he will receive what he will make known to you. 15 All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will receive from me what he will make known to you.”
