Define and give an example of bibliography
A bibliography is a listing of all the sources used when writing a report. Located as a separate page at the end of the document. Examples: Books, videos, websites and interviews.
Define bullets
Bullets are used to organize lists of information. Can be numbers or symbols.
Define and give an example of default settings
Settings that are pre-set in the Word program. Examples: Font= 12 point, Margins= 2.54cm
Define and give an example of font
The font determines the size and style of your text. Examples: 12 PT Times New Roman, 14 PT Ariel, 10 PT Harrington
Define footer
The footer is the section at the bottom of the page used for the date, name or page number. What you type on the footer appears on every page.
Define footnote
The footnote is used to reference quotations in a document. The number appears after the quotation, the reference appears at the bottom of the page.
Define header
The header is the section at the top of the page used for page numbers or essay titles. What you type here appears on every page.
Define and give an example of justification
The justification sets the text alignment in your document. Example: left, right, centre and full.
Define margin
The margins are the blank area around the edge of the page. Usually set to 1” or 2.54cm.
Define and give an example of shortcut keys
Default codes that allow the user to quickly carry out an operation in a software program. Example: control c= copy
Define and give an example of ribbon
A ribbon is an interface where a set of tool bars are placed on tabs in a tab bar. Examples: Tab for home, insert and page layout
Define watermark
The watermark is a transparent picture in the background of a document. Used for company logos or security.
