UNDERWRITER: a sponsor, as of a television show
SCREENWRITER: one who writes screenplays

UNDERSTUDY: to learn (a role) in order to replace the regular performer when necessary

UNDERACT: to act (a dramatic role) with insufficient expressiveness
OVERACT: to act (a dramatic role) with unnecessary exaggeration.

SOUNDTRACK: the audio portion of a film or video recording
SOUNDSTAGE: a room or studio that is usually soundproof, used for the production of movies.

PLAYWRIGHT: one who writes plays; a dramatist.
PLAYACT: to play a role in a dramatic performance.

BACKSTAGE: a stage area out of sight of the audience
BACKTRACK: to go back over the course by which one has come, also in a lecture or discussion.

PREVIEW: the showing of a movie, play, etc. prior to its public opening; to see or show in advance
