Preposition
word or group of words used before a noun, pronoun, or noun phrase to show direction, time, place, location, spatial relationships, or to introduce an object.

Adjective
word naming an attribute of a noun, such as sweet, red.
Adverb
provide context in a sentence by describing how, when, where, and to what extent something occurs
Examples: Tamara danced slowly. Jeff is extremely talented
Verb
verb is a word that indicates a physical action (e.g., “drive”), a mental action (e.g., “think”), or a state of being (e.g., “exist”).
Noun
A noun is a word that represents a person, thing, concept, or place (e.g., “John,” “house,” “river”)
Pronoun
words like ‘I’, ‘she’, and ‘they’ that are used in a similar way to nouns
Article (Determiner)
Articles are sometimes classed as their own part of speech, but they are also considered a type of determiner
E.g “an or”a”. They are before a noun
Conjunction
a word used to connect clauses or sentences or to coordinate words in the same clause (e.g. and, but, if ).
Proper Noun
a noun that serves as the name for a specific place, person, or thing.
Abstract Noun
a noun denoting an idea, quality, or state rather than a concrete object, e.g. truth, danger, happiness
