Noun
A noun refers to a person, animal or thing
Verbs
A verb refers to an action, event or state.
Adjective
They give us more information about people, animals or things represented by nouns and pronouns
Adverbs
We use adverbs to add more information about a verb, an adjective, another adverb, a clause or a whole sentence
Pronouns
Pronouns are words which substitute for noun phrases, so that we do not need to say the whole noun phrase or repeat it unnecessarily
Possesive pronouns
A possessive pronoun is a pronoun used to indicate ownership
Prepositions
We commonly use prepositions to show a relationship in space or time or a logical relationship between two or more people, places or things
Determiners
Determiners come before nouns. They show what type of reference the noun is making
Conjunctions
Conjunctions show a link between one word, phrase or clause and another word, phrase or clause
Plural noun
A plural noun is a noun that refers to more than one of something (as opposed to a singular noun, which refers to just one). Like singular nouns, they may refer to people, animals, things, concepts, or places
Modal verb
A modal verb also called a modal auxiliary verb is used along with a main verb to express possibility, ability, permission, or necessity
Abstract noun
As an abstract noun refers to the concept or idea of the language, including its grammar, syntax, and usage, which are intangible and not physical
Proper noun
A proper noun is a noun that serves as the name for a specific place, person, or thing.
