What is done to wood to get it in stock form?
A
The trees are cut into thick planks and are seasoned to remove all moisture. The dry wood is then cut into stock sizes ready for use.

They are where branches have started to grow. they cause visual imperfections and can weaken wood.

A
When wood is dried it may warp, bow, twist or cup.

A
