Manmade woods that are made of layers or chip
Examples of manufactured boards?
Plywood, MDF, Chipboard, Block-board, Hardboard
Advantages of MDF?
Uniform strength (no grain), cheaper, good compressive strength
What is different between chipboard and block-board?
Block-board has blocks inside it giving it better strength
What is conversion?
Cutting down a tree and turning it into planks
What is seasoning?
Drying wood to remove and water in it?
