Wife’s Submit.
- Ephesians 5:22-23, “Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.”
- 1 Peter 3:1-6, “Likewise, ye wives, in subjection to your own husbands”
Role of the women.
- Titus 2:3-5, “That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.”
- 1 Timothy 5:14, “I will therefore that the younger women marry, bear children, guide the house, give none occasion to the adversary to speak reproachfully.”
Don’t interrupt the Man.
• Sirach 11:8, “Answer not before thou hast heard the cause: neither interrupt men in the midst of their talk.”
Women are not to teach but be in silence.
• 1 Timothy 2:11-12, “But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.”
• 1 Corinthians 14:34-35, “Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law. And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.”
Order Of God.
• 1 Corinthians 11:3, “But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.”
Women are to cover their head.
• 1 Corinthians 11:5, “But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoreth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven.”
• Genesis 24:65, “For she had said unto the servant, What man is this that walketh in the field to meet us? And the servant had said, It is my master: therefore she took a veil, and covered herself.”
Modest Apparel.
• Deuteronomy 22:5, “The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman’s garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the Lord thy God.”
• 1 Timothy 2:9, “In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with braided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;”
The women desire is unto the man & he shall rule over her.
• Genesis 3:16, “Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.”
Calling your husband, lord.
• 1 Peter 3:6, “even as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: whose daughters ye are, as long as ye do well, and are not afraid with any amazement.”
NOTE: To be a daughter of Sarah, you have to copy her ways!
women is a help meet unto the man.
• Genesis 2:18, “And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a help meet for him.”
A wise women takes care to the building of her house.
• Proverbs 14:1, “Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands.”
Pillar of REST, not stress.
• Sirach 36:24, “He that getteth a wife beginneth a possession, a help like unto himself, and a pillar of rest.”
Your beauty, kind speech, comfort and meekness cheereth the countenance.
• Sirach 36:22-23, “The beauty of a woman cheereth the countenance, and a man loveth nothing better. If there be kindness, meekness, and comfort, in her tongue, then is not her husband like other men.”
Difference between the Virgin and the Wife.
• 1 Corinthians 7:34, “There is difference also between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried woman careth for the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit: but she that is married careth for the things of the world, how she may please her husband.”
Your mind should be as your husbands mind.
• Sirach 7:26, “Hast thou a wife after thy mind? forsake her not: but give not thyself over to a light woman.”
• Sirach 25:1, a man and a wife that agree together.
