who was medea?
medea was a bar barbarian princess whomwas decended from the god of the sun and a preistess of hekate. she was a princess of colchis but betrayed them to follow jason, a greek hero.
why did the greeks fear medea?
as she was a woman who could not be contolled, she refused to put the needs of the men around her above her own. she dod not conform to steryotypes of women of the time and was seen as barbarous to the greeks
where did jason amd medea first travel to after getting the golden fleece?
to thessaly where the king, pelias, had promised to give up his throne if jason could get the golden fleece
what did medea do to king pelias after he refuses to give up his throne ?
she convinced the daughters of pelias of an anti-aging process that they could proform on pelias. they killed, dismembered and boiled their father expecting a young man to come out, this did not happen
