- Women would be doing the men unattended jobs which were risky and dangerous.
- The ongoing campaigns done by the Suffragists and Suffragettes were suspended so women could focus on doing the jobs.
- The women who were in prison were released.

- The government were impressed with all the hard work that women did during WW1 and s`o they rewarded the women with the right to vote as a thank you.

- Young girls would be left without the vote as only women over 30 who had or married men who had property were enfranchised.

- These acts would often be led to women landing in prison where they would continue their protests by going on hunger strikes which led to many being force-fed.

- The peaceful protests were able to gain publicity for the issue as it convinced MPs that women were trustworthy with the vote.
- MPs started proposing women gaining the right to vote in elections however they were unsuccessful.

- With other countries being political stable, it showed MPs that women didnβt effect the stability of politics.
- With other countries in the Empire extending the franchise gave Suffrage groups hope that Britain would be influenced by the other countries to give women the right to vote.
- Britain wanted to be seen as the best country so by extending the franchise Britain would be able to keep this image of them.
