When do women need contraception on HRT?
1 year if LMP >50yr old
2 years if LMP <50 yr old
If someone is perimenopausal with an LMP <1 year ago what HRT should they get?
Combined Sequential HRT = Oestrogen Daily, Progesterone 14 days per month or Mirena Coil
If someone is post menopause with an LMP >1 year ago what HRT should they get?
Combined Continuous HRT = Oestogen and Progesterone Daily or oestrogen daily and mirena coil
If a woman has a uterus which options of HRT are available?
Combined Sequential (Oestrogen and Progesterone)
OR
Combined Continuous (Oestrogen and Progesterone)
If woman does not have a uterus what HRT should they be given?
Oestrogen only HRT

Evorel Sequi
Femseven Sequi
What medications are in the separate sequential HRT orally?
Oestradiol 1mg increased to 2mg
Progesterone D14-D28 each month - Micronised progesterone 200mgs nocte or Utrogestan improves sleep
OR
Medroxyprogesterone 10mgs OD

What oestogren patches can be used for separate sequential HRT?
Estradiol 25mcg. Increase in 26mcg increments. Change twice a week.

Mirena coil
