Older Americans and people who were religious or living in rural areas because flappers were far more independent than was traditional for women

Socialising in the cinema and jazz clubs
What were flappers allowed to do?
Play sports in public
Which women didn’t benefit from these changes?
Life only changed for white middle or upper class women
Poor people couldn’t afford the flapper lifestyle and neither could Ethnic minorities
