What are some causes for authoritarianism
Upbringing, especially if they feared their parents which generates feelings of ambivalence and repressed hostility to authorities. These feelings are threatening and through displacement are transferred to weaker targets (e.g. ethnic minorities)
Trouble with the measure scales of authoritarianism
Historically criticised on methodological and analytical grounds. Currently most measures are very long (over 30 scales). Bizumic and Duckitt developed a 6-item measure which was satisfactory and valid.
Describe sociosexuality
Some individual differences in sexual behavior are described by the trait of sociosexuality, which is defined as the willingness to engage in sexual relations in the absence of a serious relationship

Attachment theory, which has its roots in psychoanalytic thinking, describes the style of emotional relationships in adult life that is based on early experiences with caregivers such as one’s mother and family.
