My name is Frankie Lee, I am aged 25 years old.
What is your experience with baking
I am an apprentice pastry chef at a bakery in Brookvale. I specialise in baking gourmet cruffins, muffins and gluten free friands.
What area does your business service?
The business delivers to the entire Northern
Beaches area. It also has a small shop front at the front of the bakery.
What is your relationship with the prosecution’s witness, Emerson Good?
Emerson Good is my ex-partner
Could you explain how this relationship came to an end?
We broke up because Emerson became highly critical of me. Nothing seemed to please
Emerson in the end. I suspect Emerson may have had an affair with someone from the
yoga studio called Riley.
It is apparent that you are in a new relationship, when did this occur and who is this partner?
In January 2023, I met my new partner, Nuru Singh.
How has this relationship been going for you?
We are very happy together but unfortunately Nuru’s father passed away in India at the start of February and Nuru has been in India since that time.
How did you spend this valentine’s day?
On 14 February 2023, I did not ‘celebrate’ Valentine’s Day because Nuru was away. Plus, we were very busy with additional work orders for valentines day at the bakery.
You were working during this time?
My shift started at 10pm on 13 February 2023 and finished at 5:30 am.
What were you doing during this shift?
We made many extra orders for Valentine’s Day. One of my bosses directed that all the deliveries would be packaged in red coloured boxes that day. I thought it was all a bit corny
What occurred on the 15th of Feb 2023?
On feb 15, I was at home when I was woken up at about 3pm by the sound of knocking. I was shocked to see the police out the front.
What did the police want?
The officer asked to come inside. I agreed. I was still half-asleep and all I could think of was making a coffee so we went to the kitchen. I set to work making my ritualistic percolated coffee with single origin beans.
What occurred on the following days?
A couple days later, I caught up with my sister who is a law student. I asked her about the penalties of possessing marijuana and opium.
What was your sister’s response?
She said it depended on the quantity and said that given that I had no previous criminal record the penalty would not be too bad.
What occurred on the 20th of February 2023?
On 20th of February 2023, the police officer returned to my place. I was placed under arrest for the offence of spiking my ex, Emerson Good. I was shocked and confused.
