Within The Workplace Flashcards
Why you should never trust what you are told about a policy unless it’s coming from someone trained to talk about that policy
example, when your supervisor is talking about benefits policies written by HR (you need to go to HR directly to confirm)
-Even if the person telling you about it has good intentions and wants to help, if they did not write it then assume they do not know what they are talking about
- Need TWO independent sources of confirmation. If you only ask one person, you can still be suprised
When you should inquire about reimbursement
When there are opportunities for reimbursement, inquire about them as soon as you are eligable. Do NOT wait.
-remember to see it IN WRITING
-Do not commit yourself to anything in the meantime, but jump on it as soon as you have all the details
