Styled like everyday clothes.
Female dancer wears a beige shirt and skirt, the male dancer wears a khaki jumper and jeans.
What does the contrast of the costumes show?
The lightness of hers adds to the illusion of her just floating on him in space.

Links him to the earth. Complements the scenery, shows he’s supporting and strong.
