  -Shakespeare uses this irony as the witches name Macbeth wicked. This is ironic as the witches are the supernatural beings that are cruel and evil. By calling Macbeth wicked we can see Macbeth has transformed greatly being linked to the witches as he is called wicked by the witches. Shakespeare may have illustrated this to outline the transformation of Macbeth as has committed so much sins he is at the level of the witches.
