- causing that other thing to lose the effect or value that it had
- to say it does not exist

something, especially something bad, that is present or felt throughout a place or thing
If one thing pervades another, it is a noticeable feature throughout it

Characteristic of the time before the Fall of Man; innocent and unspoilt
Repudiate (v)
to show that one strongly disagrees with them, and do not want to be connected with them in anyway
