Barrossa Valley Shiraz (60%)

A

Full bodied
High Alcohol
Tannins; High & Soft
A/F pronounced ripe black/often cooked / dried
W/age: spice / leather
Oak: American/ some recent change to French oak
Style change—earlier harvest and so, more acid—more fresh/elegant

Both styles can age —dev spice/leather/softer

—Can also blend wines from cooler parts of valley sides with warmer areas -increase freshness
