Qualitätswein mit Prädikat (QmP)
These are the top category German wines. Come from a single district in one of the authorized regions. The label must show the term Qualitätswein mit Prädikat (QmP) and the name of the authorized area.
Eiswein
made from grapes that are left on vines to
freeze. Produces sweet wine with concentrated
fragrance. This style can be combined with another,
for eg. Spatlese eiswein.
Trockenbeerenauslese
Trocken means dry, wine
made from dry grapes, such as raisins. Very sweet and
concentrated wine. Sweeter than Beerenauslese.
