What is the Recovery Console?

How can you access the Recovery Console?
By booting off the Windows installation CD or using the boot menu if it was preinstalled.

How can you access Repair Mode?
By booting off the Windows Vista installation CD.
What are Restore points?
Snap-shots of a systems configuration; used to revert to a system’s state before a driver or software was installed.
How can you set/access Restore points in Windows?
Start menu - All Programs - Accesories - System Tools - System Restore - select Restore My Computer to an Earlier Time and click Next.
What is Safe Mode?
A mode that loads the Operating System with minimal drivers.
How can you access Safe Mode?
By using an advanced start up menu option that can be accessed by pressing F8 during boot.
What is the Last Known Good Configuration option?
An option that loads the configuration from the last time you successfully booted and logged on.

An automated installation and restore of Windows.
