Convection current
When warm and cool air mixes or can be a fluid

The warm air above the land rises. Cooler air from over the sea moves in to replace

The warm air above the sea rises, cooler air from the land moves toward the sea to replace it

The rotation of the earth causes objects in the n.h to deflect to the right while objects in the s.h. Deflect to the left
Jet stream
A band of very fast moving wind caused by difference in temperature.
Moves east in northern hemisphere.

Winds that blow toward the eqautor

A spot near the equator where there are very few winds

Winds that away from the equator
Prevailing easterlies
Winds that upward while also blowing west to east
Polar easterlies
Winds that are found near the poles

Bands of warm oceans temps. That develop off the coast of South America
La Niña
Band of cold ocean temps. That develop off the coast of South America
Gulf Stream
An clean current found in the Atlantic that bring warmer temps. To the east coast of the US
