Evacuation Order?
Movement of community members out of an affected area due to an immediate threat to life and property from an emergency incident
Evacuation Warning?
Alerting of community members in a defined area of “potential threat” to life and property from an emergency incident. Usually in excess of (2) hours
Hard Closure?
Closed to all traffic except Fire and LE
Soft Closure?
Closed to all traffic except FD, LE, and critical incident resources (utilities, Cal Trans, Humane Society)
Who do you check in with on arrival (initial attack) when assigned to a strike team?
STL
If not available, then the IC.

Agreements between Cal Fire and Local Agencies. They provide clarity to the agencies involved by providing intel.
- prompt notifications of incidents that are a threat to any jurisdictional or functional responsibilities
- strong coordination of initial response through pre-established communication procedures
- Unified Command and Unified Resource ordering process
When responding to a Mutual Threat Zone (MTZ), what radio and who do you communicate with?
Use the VHF incident frequency and communicate with Monte Vista ECC

Use “10-K” 10 Kilo

So everyone can hear the size up, and priorities

No

Only on “emergencies” or “initial” contact with aircraft (when Air to Ground isn’t working)
