300 WIC
A child who meets the following is within the jurisdiction of the Juvi Court which may adjudge that person to be a dependent child of the court.
300 A WIC
The child has suffered or there is substantial risk that the child will suffer SBI inflicted upon the child by the childs parent or guaridan.
300 B WIC
The child has suffered or there is substantial risk of SBI as a result of the failure or inability of his/her parent guardian to adequately supervise or protect the child from the conduct of the custodian.
or by willfully neglect to provide food clothing shelter or medical treatment
300 B (2) WIC
a child who is sexually trafficked as described in 236.1 pc or who received food or shelter in exchange for, or who is paid to perform sexual acts, and whose parent and or guardian failed to or was unable to protect the child.
these children shall be known as commercially sexually exploited children.
300 C WIC
the child suffering serious emotional damage or is at substantial risk of suffering emotional damage evidence by severe anxiety, depression, withdrawal or untoward aggressive behavior onward self or others as a results of the conduct of the parent or guardian or has no parent/ guardian capable of providing care.
a child shall not be found to be a person described if the failure is based on a sincerely held religious belief and if a less intrusive intervention is available
300 D WIC
the child has been sexually abused or there is substantial risk that the child wil be sexually abused by his or her parent/ guardian or a member of the househouse. or the parent/ guardian has failed to protect the child from sexual abuse when the parent reasonbly knew the child was in danger of sexual abuse.
300 E WIC
the child under the age of 5 and has suffered severe physical abuse by a parent ot by any person known to the parent if the parent knew or reasonibly knew that the person was physcially abusing the child.
A child shall not be removed from the custody of his or her parent or guardian on the basis of finding severe phsycial abuse unless the social worker has made the allegation.
300 F WIC
the child parent of guardian caused the death of another child through physical abuse/ neglect
300 G WIC
the child has been left without any provision for support physical custpdy of the child has been voluntarily surrendered (section 1255.7 H&S) and has not been reclaimed within 14 days period specified in subdisivon (G) ; the childs parent has been incarerated or institutionalized and cannot arrange for care of the child or a relative/ adult custodian is unwilling or unable to provide care or support for the child, the whereabouts of the parents are unknown and reasonable efforts to locate the parent have been unsuccessful.
300 H WIC
the child has been freed for adoption by one of both parents for 12 months by either relinquishment or termination of parental rights or an adoption petition has not been granted
300 I WIC
the child has been subjected to acts of cruelty by the parent or guardian or a member of the household or the parent has failed to adequetly protect the chld from acts of cruelty
300 J WIC
the childs sibling has been abused or neglected as defined as a-i and there is substantial risk that the child will be abused or neglected
601 A WIC
any minor between 12-17 years inclusive, who persistently or habitually refused to obey reasonable and proper orders or directions of that minors parents or guardian or who is beyond the control of that person
or when the minor violated any ordinance of any city or county of this state establishing a curfew based soley on age is within the jurisdiction of this court may adjust the minor to be a ward of the court
601 B WIC
if a minor between 12-17 years inclusive, has 4 or more truancies within one school year, or a school attendance review board or probation officer determines that the available public snd private services are insufficient or inappropriate to correct the habitual truancy or the minor.
or the minor fails to respond to the directives of the school the minor is then a ward of the court .
601 C WIC
a minor who is a ward of the court shall not be permitted to come into or remain in contact with any minor ordered to participate in a truancy program or equivalent
