That’s the voice inside of your head that comes typically from abusive childhood environments that drags you down and tells you you’re useless, you’re not worth anything, you’re not worth loving. That voice that we call the inner critic is the same thing that in more technical psychoanalytic language is called a superego injunction.

When you are dragged down you are powerless, and accept abuse as normal or your fault
