BRIEFLY why what was the KORNILOV Revolut
Kornilov(leader of Russian army):
believed that the PG was incapable of maintaining order and
that only a strong, authoritarian regime could save Russia from chaos and defeat in World War I.
What happened:
1.Kerensky panicked, was forced to ask the Petrograd Soviet (Bolsheviks occupied 90% of)to defend the capital
2.agreed the newly freed Bolsheviks to arm workers to fight Kornilov/encouregd. Strikes to disrupt kornilovs
What happened/why did the July (1917)days happen.
Why:
Sailors-After playing a significant in feb rev and the PG still failed to fulfill promises (of democratic reforms and improving their quality of life)
Workers/protesters- Bolsheviks instructed them to join the protest

- The continuation of the war prolonged the suffering of Russian soldiers and civilians
leading to :increased war weariness and discontent among the population.
