- Deng Xiaoping - Former General Sec of the C.C, had ran China alongside Mao.
Liu Shaoqi - Vice-chairman of CCP, made head of PRC in 1959, replacing Mao.
Zhou Enlai - Premier of PRC. - Shouldn’t move towards communism too fast: consequences such as GLF.
Argued for more caution: needed to consider practical needs.
Economic experts and educational bureaucrats should be given power to make rational decisions.
Should ‘seek truth from facts.’
