What is Openreach?
They are a wholly owned subsidiary of BT group. They look after the copper wires and fibre cables that connect businesses and homes to phone and broadband.
Who are Openreach’s customers?
Customers of Openreach are any of the 690+ service providers who sell phone and broadband to people around the country. When someone comes to an address to install or repair something they are working on behalf of those customers.
How many employees in Openreach?
It currently has 35,091 employees who install, repair and maintain wiring and fibre connections that link millions of homes in the UK to the network.
Anything else?
Open reach is the largest network provider in the UK and they are constantly developing, building and maintaining it to give everyone the service and speeds they need to run their daily lives. They want to make sure everyone in Britain can be connected anytime, anywhere.
