- Patient places hands on back of hand rims
- Pull rims forward abruptly and forcefully
- Head and trunk move forward to keep from tipping backwards

32 inches; ideal is 36 inches
How much space is needed for a 360 degree turn versus a 90 degree turn in a w/c?
360 degree turning space = 60 x 60 inches
90 degree turning space = Minimum 36 inches
