What’s primary socialisation

A

The family is a child first social group so it’s where the early learning takes place.
It’s where we are taught attitudes, skills,knowledge,norms and values by are family
-where children learn to behave

It teaches children how to behave and what is acceptable
Without socialisation there would be chaos in society
Teaches children what is expected of them
Feral children is an example that without primary socialisation we find it hard to fit in .

A

The people or groups that play a part in the processes of socialisation and help teach us norms and values
E.g education,work,media,peers,religion
